Preceded by leaks, rumors, and reports, Apple’s upcoming event is the most anticipated mobile technology-related media event of the year. It’s where the company is expected to announce multiple new products, both hardware and software-based. In this post, we’ll be running down the list of announcements we expect Apple to make during the event. Check them out after the jump.
Life is full precious memories, with moments like getting married, graduating from university, being named as captain of the soccer team or the birth of a first child, all play such a pivotally important role in defining who we are as people. The connections we make in our lives can also be hugely important, and although there are a number of apps for capturing this kind of thing, the newly updated Flava life-log app has to be one of the most beautiful to offer the service.
If you thought that just because we are less than a week away from the official Apple media event, then we are done with the emergence of iPhone-related speculation and rumors, well, it’s probably the time to think again. Although Tim Cook and his team will take to the stage of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in just five days time, the sixth-generation iPhone rumor mill is still managing to grind out some new and rather interesting possibilities.
If you happen to be a fan of the Marvel Comics range of characters, as well as throwing yourself into the rather impressive shoes of one of the world’s most legendary protectors, then assuming the role of a Norse god might just be right up your street. Even better, you can now become the mighty Thor free of charge if you happen to own an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, as Marvel Entertainment has made their fantastic and fast-paced Thor: Son of Asgard game free of charge on the App Store for a limited time.
Apple showcased many new and intriguing features with the grand unveiling of iOS 6, the sixth edition of the company's famed mobile operating system, and one of the ones we're looking forward to the most is the Passbook feature. Apple et al have done a stellar job in reducing general pocket fodder over the years, and Passbook will only aid the progression further by allowing vouchers, boarding passes, loyalty cards, coupons and the like to be stored away digitally, and utilized with minimal fuss.
China doesn’t wait for anyone! Just like last year, protective cases, covers and screen protectors for the upcoming iPhone have started popping up all over the place which are based on its “leaked” design. Check them out after the jump.
If we told you that Apple was planning on launching a service that allows users to search for, select and then stream music across multiple iOS and OS X devices, then it probably shouldn’t come as a great surprise. After all, Apple pretty much pioneered the shift in music and paved the way for digital downloads and the like, so the surprise would be that it has taken them this long to adopt the strategy and actually come up with a service similar to that offered by the likes of Pandora and Spotify.
Three days ago, after months upon months of rumors and reports, Apple sent out official invites for the media event where they will be announcing the next-gen iPhone. The event is set to kick off at 10:00 AM in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts which, according to the photos we’ve across online, is being prepared for the mega unveiling. Check them out after the jump.
It seems like only yesterday when the original iPhone was announced to the world by the late Steve Jobs, a revolutionary device that was going to turn the industry on its head and be the new benchmark for what manufacturers would need to live up to. Although it seems that Samsung took the challenge a lot more literally than others, the race for the top of the smartphone charts is still going strong, and it's only a matter of days until Apple introduces the world to their sixth-generation iPhone. We can't wait.
British newspaper TheTelegraph believes Apple is about to cease the sale of the iPhone 3GS when the iPhone 5 is introduced to the fray, instead retailing an 8GB version of the iPhone 4S, which is currently sold in 16, 32 and 64GB configurations.
