Apple’s Siri To Reportedly Start Booking Cinema Tickets In iOS 6.1

Oliver Haslam·November 5, 2012
Apple's Siri may never shrug off that 'beta' moniker, but what it does mean is that the company can continue to add features to the voice-powered digital assistant, seemingly on the fly.

Central London To Get iPad Controlled Variable Street Lighting

Paul Morris·November 5, 2012
It isn't exactly a well-hidden fact that the Apple iPad is the most popular tablet available on the market today. With over 100 million iPads shipped since the original launch in 2010, and that total being added to daily as consumers grab the fourth-generation iPad and iPad mini, Apple are streets ahead of the competition in the tablet market. If additional proof was needed that the iPad will continue to dominate the industry then the fact that Westminster City Council are preparing to make significant investment in iPad controlled street lighting throughout London should go some way to provide it.

iPad mini Jailbroken, Sort Of

Paul Morris·November 4, 2012
Apple has found themselves on somewhat of a product release spree in the last two months, with a new iPhone, a new range of iPods and two new iPads being released to the public. Put that together with the launch of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and the imminent release of refreshed Macs and you have a very packed Apple hardware refresh. With all of this new technology coming out, the jailbreak world may have taken a public backseat recently, but legendary iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd has just updated his Twitter feed to make sure are all aware that things are still bubbling away in the background.

Band Of The Day For iOS Lets You Discover New Musical Experiences Every Day

Paul Morris·November 3, 2012
Apple's range of mobile devices have always been popular with music lovers who like to have all of their audio based media with them wherever they go, and that experience is generally made better when third-party developers build their own creations to compliment the native Apple music offerings. The Band Of The Day app that is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad has been in existence for a year, but has recently had a huge makeover to offer additional features and interface amendments.

First iPad mini TV Ad ‘Piano’ Goes Live [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·November 3, 2012
Along with the release of any new hardware from Apple, we start to see an influx of TV ads soon after. The iPad mini is proving itself to be yet another blockbuster from the Cupertino company, and staying true to their previous trend, Apple has released the first ever TV ad for the miniature iPad.

Performance Comparison: iPad 4 vs iPad 3 [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·November 3, 2012
The iPad 3 has had the shortest shelf life of any Apple tablet in existence. Having arrived only in March in a blaze of glory, it's quickly been replaced by the fourth-generation iPad, and although the aesthetic changes are negligible (the Lightning cable has replaced the 30-pin job), internally, the newer of the two is said to be "twice as fast."

iPad mini Has Already Been Installed In A Car Dashboard [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·November 3, 2012
In line with the Steve Jobs vision, many of us hold our smartphones and tablets in the same regard as our cars, and as some of us have specially adapted our automobiles for compatibility with our iPhones, some companies have already been installing the iPad mini into the dashboards of cars.

iPad mini Vs Nexus 7 – The Inevitable Drop Test [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·November 2, 2012
Any new device worth talking about is, as a matter of protocol, subject to numerous public tests, with the drop test being by far the most popular. As well as enjoying the perverse pleasure that is watching a brand-new device sustain serious damage, viewing such a test does have its practical benefits, since if a gadget performs particularly poorly, perhaps we'll think twice before parting with our cash.

Oliver Haslam·November 2, 2012
With iPad minis beginning to find their way into the hands of people around the globe, more and more information is beginning to circulate about just what powers Apple's little tablet.
