How To Add Facebook RSS Widget On iOS 7 Home Screen

Ben Reid·February 16, 2014
With over one billion active users, Facebook is the world's largest social network by quite a margin. But while the Menlo Park-based company has spent quite a lot of time implementing features like Facebook Home and system-wide Chat Heads to Google's Android, the restrictive nature of iOS has meant that Facebooking on an iPhone or iPad remains a squarely in-app affair. Thanks to the jailbreak scene, though, iOS users can enjoy a much more integrated experience when using Facebook, and a new tweak, which brings a neat RSS feed of your Wall right to your iOS home screen, has just been released via Cydia. Check it out after the break!

Grand LS: The Best Lock Screen Theme For iOS 7 [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·February 15, 2014
We're big fans of simplicity and minimalism here at Redmond Pie, and having been more impressed by last month's release of the elegant 0bscure 7 WinterBoard theme, we've now been treated to an equally slick lock screen theme by the same developer. GRAND LS is a clutter-free, uncomplicated lock screen alternative featuring a large, artsy digital clock as its show piece, and if you've been looking to tinker with the appearance of your iOS device's front page, then look no further than the GRAND LS.

How To Customize Flappy Bird For iPhone

Oliver Haslam·February 15, 2014
Just when you thought that the whole Flappy Bird debacle couldn't get any more weird, here we are to tell you that no, actually, it turns out that things can get weird and then move themselves onto a completely new plane. A plane where people like to take a game that isn't really the most visually pleasing and then modify it so that it looks somewhat different. Still not appealing, but different.

Download Official TETRIS Game For iOS For Free, Here’s How! [Limited Time Only]

Paul Morris·February 15, 2014
It's a tile-matching puzzle based video game. It's immediately recognizable as one the most iconic games of all time. It was the first piece of entertainment software to make its way onto United States soil from the old Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and it can trace its history back nearly thirty years. Yes, we are indeed talking about the wonderful TETRIS game, which Apple is now offering for free as part of a limited time promotion that links directly to the iOS App Store.

Top Must-Have iPhone 5s Touch ID Tweaks You Should Try Right Now!

Ben Reid·February 14, 2014
Apple's latest and greatest smartphone, the iPhone 5s, has brought with it a host of new and exciting features. The A7 processor is backed up by 64-bit architecture, and with a dual-LED True Tone flash to accompany the improved rear-facing camera, the handset has been the subject of much acclaim. But aside from the gold model, which prompted an incredible response, the main talking point has been that mysterious Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Beefing up security, it has slotted into the iPhone repertoire rather nicely, but with the recent work of Evad3rs, what could the jailbreak community do with this new technology? Here, we survey some of the best Touch ID-related tweaks for the iPhone 5s.

BBM 2.0 For iPhone And Android Released: Voice Calling, Location Sharing And More [VIDEO]

Oliver Haslam·February 14, 2014
It took far too long in the eyes of many, but when BlackBerry first brought BBM to both Android and iOS, the app and associated service was met with a tepid response at best. While it's true that BBM has, or at least had a core user base that was propping BlackBerry up despite its many failings, alternatives like WhatsApp left Android and iOS users wondering what all the fuss was about. It didn't help that the apps weren't great, either.

How To Add A Dictionary And Encyclopedia To iOS 7 Control Center

Ben Reid·February 14, 2014
Apple's range of native iOS apps is pretty expansive these day, but is still arguably missing one key component - a dictionary. Sure, there's a dictionary there in spirit, ensuring that you don't make any spelling mistakes when typing up a message, but if you want to actually look up words and discover your definitions, you have to saunter on down to the App Store and find a suitable app. Luckily, thanks to a new tweak by the name of Define for iOS 7, you can enjoy an integrated dictionary, thesaurus and encyclopedia-like (read: Wikipedia) experience right from the Control Center.

Acies Theme For iPhone Refines Apple’s Already Great iOS 7 Flat Design

Ben Reid·February 13, 2014
iOS 7 may have represented the most significant change to the look and functionality of Apple's mobile OS in its short history, but even though the flatter, brighter interface seems to have gone down well, the luxury of the Evad3rs jailbreak has prompted themes galore. Today, we're going to be looking at a neat little theme called Acies, which, although similar to the stock layout in that it keeps things flat, crisp and minimalistic, tones down the bright colors with a more tranquil, calm, and inviting finish.

This Might Be Our First Look At iPhone 6 (Leaked Photos) [Update x1]

Ben Reid·February 13, 2014
We've heard from a number of sources that Apple is planning two larger iPhones for release in 2014 - one with a 4.7-inch display and another packing a decidedly-extensive 5.5-inch panel. But after seeing just how carried away folks got with the so-called iPhone 5 in the run-up to what eventually amounted to the iPhone 4s, it's always good to have some physical evidence - however vague - to corroborate the incessant claims. Shots of a new rear-shell leak, along with an alleged iPhone 6 prototype, have just leaked into the wild, and from the looks of it, the iPhone 6 will carry a similar design language which we’ve seen in the iPad Air.
