Word Lens is a new augmented reality app for iOS devices that instantly translates printed words from one language to another in real time using the camera on your iPhone. You can point your camera lens at a sign that's written in Spanish and it will immediately provide an English translation. Word Lens uses text recognition technology to work out what the word or phrase is, then translates it into the new language using automatic translation software and at blistering speed. The translation is even pasted over the original location making it even more impressive.

According to the sources close to MacDailyNews, the upcoming Verizon iPhone will support Verizon’s new faster LTE network for 4G data, and it will be announced right after Christmas.
