CNN has listed out their “The 10 biggest tech fails of 2010” in which they have picked Apple’s iPhone 4 “antennagate” as tech’s biggest fail of the year 2010.
Developer James Whelton has managed to hack his 6th-generation iPod nano which he won recently at “some award”. This has enabled him to bypass cache compression of the device, resulting in installing of a Springboard hack on the iPod nano which allows for blank space creation.
The iPhone developer and hacker iH8sn0w has just teased a screenshot of Sn0wbreeze 2.2 with a new “Baseband Preservation Mode”. This new mode will enable current iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G users to preserve their baseband while upgrading to iOS 4.2.1 so that they can unlock using existing version of Ultrasn0w.
One of the most annoying bug of initial release of Redsn0w 0.9.7 was the native app crashes which made using the Task Switcher, iPod and YouTube apps unusable after the untethered jailbreak. Well with the latest release of Redsn0w 0.9.7b2, all these problems have been fixes. Bluetooth functionality though is still disabled.
It looks like Skype is soon going to bring video calling to iPhone and iPod touch. In a help document (pulled now) published on the official Skype site, details were posted about making video calling from Skype for iPhone app to the Skype clients running on other platforms such as Windows and Mac.

Since Comex’s untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 has been delayed, MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev-Team has announced that they are going to release their “backup plan” for untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak over the Christmas weekend. However before they do a general release, they are looking for testers to try out this latest version of Redsn0w. The requirements for testing Redsn0w for iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak are as follows.

The unofficial WikiLeaks app for iPhone and iPad which was only released last week has been removed by Apple from the iTunes App Store.
