Talk of a possible 3G-equipped iPod touch has been rife over the last few weeks. Many have claimed that Apple is working on a replacement for its already popular current iPod touch - which is no great surprise - but the addition of a 3G radio is an interesting idea.
Continuing to take the mobile phone industry by storm, Apple has found itself sitting pretty at the top of a list of smartphone OEMs. This particular list shows Apple is currently the top dog when it comes to smartphone market share for the three months ending May 2011.
Ever since iOS 5 Beta 3 was seeded to developers earlier today, enthusiasts have taken a time to thoroughly examine the system and look for changes. It turns out that iOS 5 Beta 3 now allows users to set custom alert tones for everything, from new text messages and emails to calendar alerts.

According to MuscleNerd, a prominent member of the iPhone Dev Team, iOS 5 Beta 3, which was released to Apple developers a few hours ago, can be jailbroken using the same version of Redsn0w that was used for iOS 5 Beta 1 and Beta 2.
Right alongside the release of iOS 5 beta 3, Apple has also seeded the third beta of iTunes 10.5 which is a major requirement if you plan on restoring your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iOS 5 beta 3.
Apple is now airing two new iPhone 4 commercials as part of the "If you don't have an iPhone..." series, which shows off iPhone features that aren't, according to Apple, available on any other device. The two new ads feature two well-known technologies: FaceTime and AirPlay.

Apple’s App Store was launched exactly three years ago on 10th July, 2008 with an update to iTunes. The very next day, Apple launched the iPhone 3G which, besides having subtle hardware/design tweaks over its predecessor, came with the App Store built-in on iOS 2.0. Apple expanded the Store’s scope last year when the company introduced its tablet iPad.
