Call Of Duty Has A New Mobile Game, Here’s How To Play It On Android Right Now

Call of Duty fans love to get their FPS on, and now they have another way of doing exactly that thanks to the arrival of the Call of Duty Mobile beta. Assuming they’re Android users, of course.

With PUBG and particularly Fortnite causing a stir in the gaming space, some may be forgiven for thinking that more traditional shooters like Call of Duty are waning in popularity, but that’s simply not the case. Activision has joined forces with Tencent Games to release Call of Duty: Legends of War, a first person shooter that is designed specifically for the Android platform. The game takes the Call of Duty that we are all familiar with and gives gives it the mobile treatment.

There’s a multiplayer element just as you might expect these days, but here’s also a zombie mode that supports both multi and single player gaming. Unfortunately, the world of mobile gaming pretty much guarantees that here will be in-app purchases throughout, but that’s a given at this point.

Tencent Games and Activision have soft-launched Call of Duty: Legends of War in Australia, and while in-app purchases aren’t live just yet, it’s likely they’ll be activated once the game is available worldwide.

If you want to get your COD on before the game is officially ready for everyone outside Australia, you can download the version 1.0.0 beta and try it out for yourself right now. There are, however, some hoops to jump through, with the folks at XDA here running through exactly what needs to be done. If you’ve side-loaded APK files of Android games before, you should be familiar with the process.

If you do go through with the installation, be sure to pop off a few rounds for me!
