According to a new press statement released today, Apple will be resetting iCloud backups on September 22nd to gear up for iOS 5 GM. The news comes from a statement published on Apple’s Developer Board which says that all data backed up by beta-testers on iCloud servers will be reset (i.e. deleted) on September 22nd. No reason has been given for why this is being done, but we have reason to believe that this is an indication that we’ll see the Golden Master release of iOS 5 very soon, perhaps as soon as September 23rd.
