Although Apple's range of computers ship with set hardware specifications as standard, consumers can configure a more personalized setup thanks to the Cupertino company's built-to-order service. For example, the MacBook Pro with Retina display costs $2,799.00 over at Apple's online store, but if one wishes to bump up the storage space, processor speed or RAM, for example, this can be arranged at additional cost.

When talking about modern-day, handheld casual gaming, few can claim the kind of success as Rovio's Angry Birds, and what started out as one very simple, very addictive title, has turned into a billion dollar franchise spanning everything from phone cases, audio equipment, plush toys and more. Only recently, Angry Birds Space joined the party as the forth title in a series which has branched beyond mobile onto almost every platform imaginable, and now, Angry Birds Star Wars is almost upon us.
Microsoft's Surface is one of the most sought-after slates to be releasing this year, and as such, one would expect anybody lucky enough to have their hands on one already to be treating it with the utmost care; enjoying a device very few people have even seen in the flesh. Of course, such rules don't apply to Steve Sinofsky - the leader of the team which has created the Surface - and in a rather comical sketch, has demonstrated how the device also doubles up as a rather useful skateboard.
As anybody in ownership of an Xbox 360 (or indeed, a PlayStation 3) will know, the wireless controllers are pretty versatile, and with minimal fuss, can be hooked up to many electronic products besides their respective console boxes. With the Microsoft Surface dropping next week, many were wondering whether the Redmond company's tablet would also support the Xbox's wireless controllers. In a day that has seen snaps of Steve Sinofsky skateboarding on a Surface around the Redmond complex, the software maker has taken another out-of-the-ordinary step in confirming via Reddit that the imminent slab will indeed be compatible with the Xbox game pads.
"FIFA Friday," as it is unofficially dubbed, has been and gone for this year, and FIFA Soccer 13 has already sold in the millions for Xbox, PlayStation, and iOS. It may be the most popular on the market, but it's certainly not the only soccer simulator one can purchase, and the Real Soccer series does have its fair share of admirers.
Unless you've been living in a cave, or some other indeterminate, closed-off environment, you'll no doubt be aware that Call Of Duty: Black Ops II is scheduled for release next month. In order to whet the appetite of the many millions of ardent CoD fans worldwide, developers Treyarch has released yet another trailer for its upcoming installment, which you can catch right after the jump!
Beats By Dr. Dre is a brand everybody now recognizes. Some argue the audio equipment endorsed and partially designed by the hip-hop legend is overpriced, gimmicky, and inferior to similar products offered by rivaling companies. Although it's certainly laughable to see certain folks pay upward of $300 for headphones without knowing how to properly encode music (or indeed, what encoding even means), you have to hand it to Beats for its marketing strength.
Just as we expected, Apple has sent out media invites for an event which they are going to host in the California Theatre, San Jose, dated 23rd October.
At the beginning of this month, it was presumed the iPad Mini would be announced on October 17th, with invitations going out a week prior on the 10th. That hasn't turned out to be the case, but tech enthusiasts remain defiantly undeterred - predicting Apple's announcement instead for next week. As well as corroborating the notion of a launch next week, AppleInsider has learned the smaller iPad will arrive in four storage configurations ranging from an entry-level 8GB all the way up to 64GB.
Coffee-peddling franchise Starbucks grabbed itself a bit of additional airtime by being among the first companies to offer support for Apple's Passbook feature of iOS 6. As is often the case, support didn't stretch outside the borders of the United States, but today, support for consumers in the United Kingdom has been added, as well as Canada.
