London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5 To Be Rebranded As ‘Terminal Samsung Galaxy S5′

Ben Reid·May 16, 2014
Samsung is well-known for its extravagantly-dealt marketing budget, and the company's ubiquitous logo is fairly hard to avoid no matter where you go. With the flagship Galaxy S5 having just been released, Sammy is naturally trying to push its latest humdinger into everybody's faces, and as a part of this concerted push, London's Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 will be renamed "Terminal Samsung Galaxy S5" for two whole weeks. Yes, really.

Halo 5: Guardians For Xbox One Announced, Gets A Release Date

Ben Reid·May 16, 2014
The Halo franchise has been key to Microsoft's successes in the console market, with the Xbox exclusivity of the famed first-person shooter helping the Xbox 360 to fend off the PlayStation 3 in the battle of the previous-gen machines. After a slow start this time around, it's fair to say that the software giant needs a boost in order to make the ground up on the PlayStation 4, and today's announcement of Halo 5: Guardians will surely have fans of the popular franchise salivating in anticipation.

This iPad Mini Knockoff Takes Shameless Copying To The Next Level [Video]

Ben Reid·May 16, 2014
While us tech fans are closely following the updates of forthcoming Apple products on the basis that we're interested in what new technologies the company may be including, others are digging around for clues on the design so they can continue coming through with cheaper, knockoff options. Xiaomi, a Chinese outfit famed for continually churning out somewhat plausible iPhone replicas, has just launched its first tablet, and unsurprisingly, it's a dead ringer for Apple's iPad mini.

Foursquare Swarm App Released For iPhone And Android, Grab It From Here! [Download Links]

Ben Reid·May 15, 2014
Earlier this month, Foursquare announced that it would be venturing away from its very check-in-centric format by offering a new, alternative social app in the form of Swarm. The idea, it seems, is to help users locate nearby friends and subsequently find interesting things to do, and today, the Swarm app has been released for those on iOS and Android.

HTC One Mini 2 Officially Announced: A Smaller M8 With Small Sacrifices

Ben Reid·May 15, 2014
HTC may only recently have taken the wraps off the new flagship One M8, but has wasted no time in announcing a slightly more compact, cheaper option for those not seeking anything too grandiose. With that said, the HTC One mini 2 is certainly no walkover, offering a 4.5-inch HD Display, Snapdragon 400 SoC and a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter, amongst several other treats. Full details, as ever, can be seen after the break.

Facebook v10 For iOS Released, Here’s What Is New

Ben Reid·May 15, 2014
Facebook is always looking for ways to tailor the social experience to the everyday user, and has just begun trickling out a new card-based system that offers content and information based on your check-ins and status updates. The idea is to help you find things / people you might be interested in or close to, without you having to go looking yourself, and appears to be something of a response to Foursquare's recently-announced Swarm app.

GTA 5 To Get Xbox One, PS4 Makeover This Year!

Ben Reid·May 15, 2014
Rockstar Games has indicated that its flagship Grand Theft Auto 5 title could be in line for its next-gen makeover before the end of the company's fiscal year, which is March 2015. Although he didn't explicitly mention an updated GTA 5 at any point during a keynote at a financial call, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar's parent company Take-Two, revealed that his company is "excited about what [Rockstar] has in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year," which is a not-so-subtle hint that the record-busting title could hit the PS4 and Xbox One within the next ten months.

Ben Reid·May 15, 2014
Given the sheer volume of camera and photography-centric apps available throughout the App Store, finding those proverbial diamonds in the rough can be a tricky task. But the app we're featuring here today is not only one of the better offerings currently knocking about for those on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, but also - for a very limited time - has shaken off its usual price tag and can be snapped up free of charge.

LG G3 Leaks In Super High Quality Press Renders Ahead Of Official Launch [Images]

Ben Reid·May 15, 2014
Samsung, Sony and HTC have all laid their cards on the table in the battle of the high-end Android smartphones, but while their respective flagship devices have each been subjected to a fair amount of acclaim, there's still plenty more for us geeks to be looking forward to. In fact, the LG G3 will shortly be unveiled to the world, and although numerous leaked info and snaps of the handset have given us a decent idea of what's in the offing, some rather eye-catching new press renders offer a detailed overview of the forthcoming release.
