Apple Store App Now Lets People Shop With A Specialist Over Video

If you like the idea of going into an Apple Store to get face-to-face help from a sales assistant but don’t actually want to have to go to an Apple Store to do it, you’re in luck.

Apple has now made a new version of the Apple Store app available which allows people to get buying support via video.

The feature is currently only available in the United States, but ‘Shop with a Specialist over Video’ is described as a live shopping experience, without the need to leave your home.

Apple today launched Shop with a Specialist over Video, a new live shopping experience on apple.com for customers in the U.S. Shop with a Specialist over Video connects customers looking to purchase iPhone with a retail team member via a safe and secure, one-way video shopping session. With this new service, customers can browse the latest models, explore new features, and learn about Apple Trade In offers, carrier deals, switching to iOS, and various financing options.

Shoppers will need to have the latest version of the Apple Store app installed to make this work and we can expect it to roll out to other countries in the future. For those who want to get help outside of the usual retail hours, the standard phone or chat support will remain available 24 hours a day.

Apple is rolling this new feature out as it gets ready to unveil updated iPad Pro and iPad Air tablets next week, of course, so it can expect plenty of orders to be placed sooner rather than later.
