Jailbreak iOS 17.4.1 On iPhone And iPad [Status Update]

Looking to jailbreak iOS 17.4.1 on your iPhone or iPad? Here is the latest status update that you may need to know about.

Apple’s latest version of the iPhone software, iOS 17.4.1, is now available for download and while it doesn’t add any new features, it’s still a release that people should consider installing.

It brings with it important security updates and bug fixes, Apple says, but what does that mean for people who like to jailbreak their devices? If you’ve been following along with the situation previously, you probably already know where we’re going with this.

Jailbreaking is definitely not as popular as it once was, but some people still like to do it. However, jailbreaking isn’t possible with iOS 17.4.1 or indeed any iOS 17.x release because modern devices cannot be jailbroken.

Those with an iPhone X-era device are also out of luck because while those devices have been jailbroken at the boot ROM level and Apple cannot patch that, these devices are not compatible with iOS 17.4.1 — meaning everyone is unfortunately out of luck.

All of that being said, never say never — things can and do change although we’ve yet to hear anything meaningful about the potential for a new jailbreak that will work with the latest software on the most modern of devices. That seems unlikely to change any time soon.
