Apple Announces New Apple Watch Pride Edition Bands And Watch Faces

Apple has today announced two new Apple Watch Pride Edition bands, both designed to work with another new release — a new Pride Apple Watch face.

The new watch face is available for installation on all watchOS 8.6 Apple Watches right now.

In terms of the new bands, the Pride Edition Sport Loop features the familiar rainbow color scheme on a white band. Those looking for something darker will enjoy the Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop, a band that is very similar but with a black background instead.

A new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop celebrates the full spectrum of the rainbow and features a matching rainbow-colored Nike Bounce face that accompanies the new band. Along with Nike’s Be True collection, the Sport Loop honors individuals who are expanding sport for future generations and inspiring others to feel the joy of being authentically themselves. Be True is part of Nike’s broader commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, which focuses on recognition, advocacy, inspiration, and education.

As for the new watch face, it’s an interesting one. In terms of art, it’s a good-looking face that would only be possible on a high-resolution smartwatch. But in terms of actually telling the time via its digital clock, it’s a bit of a miss. The look just isn’t conducive to actually being able to tell the time.

Regardless, both of the new bands are winners and you can bag them both online for $49 now. They’ll be available in Apple Stores within the next few days, too.
