If your iPhone on iOS 27 is slow or overheating, this is what you need to do.
Apple’s iOS 27 is now here, and you can install it on your own iPhone at home right now. But despite a months-long beta process, you may still experience some issues.

If your iPhone is running slowly or is overheating, there are a couple of things that you can do to at least temporarily improve matters.
The iOS 27 update was announced during the WWDC event in June, and it’s been in beta testing ever since. It’s now available to all, and slow performance is often an issue with any big new software update.
It’s important to remember that any iPhone will be slower and warmer than usual immediately after updating, as the software completes its installation process. Normally, these issues sort themselves out eventually. But you can try to disable some features if you want to improve performance immediately.
Disable Siri AI
The Siri AI feature is a big new addition to the iOS 27 software this year, but it’s a feature that does require a lot of indexing of the information stored on your device. You can consider disabling it to see if that improves performance and makes your iPhone run more coolly — head to the Siri section of the Settings app to do so.
Disable Liquid Glass
The Liquid Glass interface design is a controversial one, not least because it can require your iPhone to do additional processing. This can have a detrimental effect on your iPhone, its performance, and its temperature. You can disable it via the Settings app, under the Appearance section.
