Apple is expected to announce iOS 27 at its WWDC event next month, and a new report claims that it will include new Apple Intelligence photo editing features. The same features will also come to the Mac and iPad, the report adds.
Writing for Bloomberg, Mark Gurman says that Apple Intelligence will gain the ability to make edits to images beyond the existing Clean Up functionality.

Clean Up can remove certain aspects of images, using AI to try and work out what would be behind the item being removed.
Now, Gurman believes that there will be more features added to the Photos app using Apple Intelligence. Those include Extend, Enhance, and Reframe.
Starting with Extend, the report claims that Apple Intelligence will generate additional content beyond the original frame of the photo. This will allow the image to be artificially enlarged, with AI generating the content beyond the frame.

Enhance will allow the Photos app to adjust various aspects of the image, including lighting and color. Reframe will be used with spatial photos to allow users to change the perspective of the image after it was first captured.
All of these features, and more, are expected to debut at WWDC next month as part of iOS 27, macOS 27, and iPadOS 27. The updates themselves aren’t expected to be released to the public until the fall, however.
