Download: iOS 16.4 Beta 3 Released To Developers

Apple has today released the third iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 betas to developers, with the update now available for download by anyone who has the correct beta profile installed on their compatible iPhones.

Registered developers can download the iOS 16 beta profile from the Apple developer website, while those who have the public beta program will need to wait for the ioS 16.4 beta 3 release to be made available to them.

If all goes well we can likely expect that to happen within a matter of days, if not sooner.

It’s still early days for this release and it’s difficult to know whether Apple has added any new features or changes since the second beta was released a week ago. But so far iOS 16.4 isn’t shaping up to be a big one in terms of new features.

We do know that iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 will include a number of new emoji, with 31 of them being added to the mix. Apple has also added support for Safari Web Push notifications that will allow web apps that have been installed on the iPhone or iPad’s Home screen to also send notifications, just like real apps. It’s also similar to how websites can send notifications to a Mac, too.

Other tweaks include minor changes to Apple Music, Podcats, and the Apple Books apps.

We can expect to learn more as people begin to install this beta, and while Apple hasn’t said when iOS 16.4 will be released to the public, we expect that to be in a matter of weeks at this point.
