Someone Rendered The Unannounced Tesla Model 2 And It’s Definitely A Vibe

Tesla is famous for making the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y with the upcoming Roadster rounding out the lineup. But Tesla also has another car in the works, with CEO Elon Musk saying a $25,000 electric car will arrive within the next few years.

He even shared a sketch of what it could look like.

Tesla says the car will be “Chinese-style,” whatever that means. It’ll  also be made in China, but none of this is the interesting part – that’s the fact that someone has created concept renders of what the car could look like.

Dubbed the Model 2, the car looks similar to what Tesla shared last year and there are definitely some design influences from Tesla’s other cars. The rear looks more like an older Mercedes-Benz GLA, but maybe that’s just us. The whole car doesn’t really look like a Tesla to our eyes, but maybe that’s the protruding door handles and the overall compact shape.

Of course, Tesla’s Musk saying something will happen doesn’t mean it will and even if it does, when will it happen? Musk claimed the Model 2 would be fully autonomous – something we highly doubt. Musk has also been saying every other car would be fully autonomous as well and here we are, without autonomous driving.
