2018 Apple iPhone Keynote Event Date Once Again Tipped In New Report

We’re almost into September which means that we are also a step closer to when we expect Apple to announce not one, not two, but three new iPhones. There may even be a new iPad as well as Mac updates to enjoy, but we don’t yet officially know when the event will take place. However, according to French radio station Europe 1, we may have a better idea than we did yesterday.

Citing unnamed sources, the radio station claims that Apple’s 2018 iPhone event will take place on September 12th, a date that has been mooted before.

The venue, perhaps unsurprisingly, will be the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park with the keynote kicking off at the familiar 10: time. This would all tie in perfectly with previous rumors as well as past announcements.

The September 12th date makes plenty of sense and as we mentioned, is a date that had been mentioned in recent weeks. Apple’s iPhone events have historically taken place between September 7th and September 12th, and if we rule September 11th out for obvious reasons then the 12th makes even more sense. The date also means that Apple will be able to open iPhone pre-orders a few days later, likely Friday 14th, with the iPhone going on sale a week later.

During the event, whenever it happens, we will see Apple announce three new iPhones including an all-new iPhone X Plus, coming in at a massive 6.5-inches. A new Apple Watch is almost a certainty at this point, although new iPads, a new MacBook Air and perhaps even a new Mac mini are also potential debutants during the September event.

The Mac mini in particular could be an interesting one, especially considering the last time it received an update, Woz and Jobs were still working out of that San Francisco garage.
