xCloud Users Can Now Play Original Xbox And Xbox 360 Games

Microsoft has announced that 16 original Xbox and Xbox 360 games are being released via the company’s Xbox Cloud service. xCloud as it’s more commonly known will make the 16 games available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and the titles can be streamed to phones and tablets. So long as they’re running Android.

Microsoft does say that it still intends to bring xCloud to iPhone and iPad this spring, although it isn’t saying when it will happen exactly.

When it does arrive, it’ll be via a web browser thanks to Apple’s decision not to allow Microsoft’s game streaming service into the App Store.

For now, Android gamers can enjoy the following 16 games as of today, including some very popular titles from yesteryear.

  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • Double Dragon Neon
  • Fable II
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Gears of War 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Gears of War: Judgment

  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Viva Piñata (touch controls enabled)
  • Viva Piñata: TIP (touch controls enabled)

All of these names will be available to anyone with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Note that only some of the games are enabled for touch, so keep that in mind before you set about your big gaming session.
