Vintique For iOS Provides Awesome Vintage Filters And Powerful Editing Tools

Although Apple devices like the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad are handy and powerful communication tools that can be taken anywhere with us, they are also great photography devices with extremely powerful embedded cameras capable of taking very good quality still images and capturing high-definition video. The beautiful Retina display on the iPhone and third-generation iPad along with these advanced photography features make them perfect devices for impressive image-based apps.

One of these image manipulation apps that has recently landed in the App Store is called Vintique and comes from developer Seong guk Chea. We all know that the App Store doesn’t exactly have a shortage of apps that offer editing, manipulation and filter-based features but the trick for developers is to ensure that their creation stands out in some way and looks stunning on the device. In this instance, Vintique definitely stands out with its rustic and extremely well presented user interface.

Social sharing is a feature that is heavily integrated into this particular app with users being able to share their edited images to either Facebook, Twitter or the extremely popular and now Facebook-owned Instagram network. The app is heavily filter centric with the onus being on letting the user take a standard image and give it a vintage look and feel through the use of built-in filters. To help achieve this, Vintique offers thirty-two different options including old times, water colors, drowsy, gloomy, mind map, fading, blue ink and dark mood to name just a few.

The obligatory adjustment-based options are also included in the app with the option to adjust things like the brightness of the image, the vibrance and the level of exposure that the picture is subjected to. That may seem like enough functionality for a one dollar app, but the development team have gone a little further by also adding nineteen vignette settings as well as forty-nine individual frames that can be applied to the image as the final step.

The user-interface of the Vintique app is where the magic really happens with everything being exactly where you would expect it to be and packaged into something extremely attractive. Vintique is a $0.99 download and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad as a universal app.
