High quality apps for iOS and Mac usually carry a price tag with them, but numerous devs do give us the chance to catch a break from that routine once in a while, offering some of their titles for free. This brilliant graphic novel is inspired by real letters from World War 1, and will take you through the emotional story of the unsung heroes caught up in the struggle during this period. An interactive way of immersing yourself into history and learning about the untold stories from the era.
Quarriors! ($3.99 – Free / iPad)
A fun title for the iPad, the developers describe it as “a unique blend of strategy and chance featuring a revolutionary dice building game mechanic.”
Mac Apps
iWord ($9.99 – Free / Mac)
A powerful word processor for Mac, iWord packs a rich set of features and you would find quite a few functions that put it at par with the famous MS Word and Pages app for Mac. Documents can be saved in various formats and file types to ease sharing of content for different platforms or apps.
sClock ($0.99 – Free / Mac)
A pretty basic and to-the-point clock manager app for Mac, sClock is designed to make it look like it’s part of OS X, and even better, it is absolutely minimalistic in nature. The app has almost no footprint on system resources and battery as well, making it perfect for MacBooks in particular.
