The iPhone 15 Pro Max Might Be Smaller Than The iPhone 14 Pro Max

Despite having the same 6.7-inch display it looks like the iPhone 15 Pro Max could actually be smaller and thinner than the iPhone 14 Pro Max that it will replace later this year.

If everything goes the way that we expect it to we will see Apple replace the iPhone 14 lineup with the iPhone 15 lineup this September, and a new report claims that the most expensive of the four models will actually shrink when compared to last year’s model.

A new leak by Ice Universe shares renders based on CAD information, while some new size information has been made available as well.

Taking a look at the iPhone 15 Pro Max dimensions and comparing them with those of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, MacRumors notes that the new model is actually thinner in all the numbers that matter.

Even though one there’s one number that is actually going up — the main body of the new iPhone will be thicker than the old one. Despite that, the overall thickness will shrink.

According to Ice Universe’s dimensions, the ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max’s footprint is smaller both in terms of height and width compared to the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max, but it is 5% thicker. The CAD renders and accompanying dimensions suggest that the ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max will have a less protrusive camera bump than previously expected, being 0.59 mm shallower than that of the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max.

Apple is expected to announce the new iPhones in September, with the devices going on sale around a week after they are officially unveiled. If these rumors are true we can expect the previously massive iPhone to shrink slightly. Although it’ll still be too big for some.
