Traffic From OS X 10.9 Found On Web Logs, Public Announcement Imminent? [IMAGE]

Goncalo Ribeiro·February 5, 2013
With the release of the iPhone 5, the iPad mini and a revamped iPad just in the last few months, some may think that Apple is slowly forgetting about the Mac. Despite all of the speculation, traffic from Macs running OS X 10.9, which has not yet been announced, has increased dramatically over the past few weeks, which strongly suggests that a Developer Preview might be just around the corner.

Windows 8 Overtakes Mountain Lion In Overall Desktop OS Market Share

Ben Reid·January 29, 2013
The news is perhaps about as predictable as when Call of Duty: Black Ops II swept past Halo 4 to take its usual position is market leader, but Windows 8 has - just three months after its initial release - surpassed Apple's OS X Mountain Lion in terms of market share. The Redmond company has seen a positive, if not overwhelming public response to its new operating system, and with many opting to upgrade online as opposed to purchasing a more expensive physical copy, the entire Windows process looks to be headed towards Apple's download-only direction.

Beamer For Mac Lets You Wirelessly Stream Video Straight To Your Apple TV By Drag-and-Drop

Goncalo Ribeiro·January 15, 2013
If you own a Mac and an Apple TV, you likely spend a great deal of time streaming content from your computer to your TV, through Apple’s set-top box. Apple has made this quite easy, starting with Mac OS X 10.8, with AirPlay Mirroring. Yet this can be glitch when streaming long-form content, such as movies, and is not the most practical solution; in addition, you might still be rocking Mac OS X 10.7 or lower.

OS X Mountain Lion Takes Mantle As Most Popular Desktop OS By Apple To Date

Paul Morris·January 7, 2013
OS X Mountain Lion may have only been publicly available for the last five months or so, but according to statistics and analytics; it has quickly managed to claw itself to the top to become the most popular Mac operating system which Apple has ever released. Mountain Lion was released in July of 2012 with the philosophies of being a fully functional desktop operating system that took more than a little inspiration from iOS running on an iPad. The intention seemed to be to usher in the beginning of a new era that would see OS X and iOS become increasingly more converged over time.

Next Line Of Macs To Reportedly Pack Super Fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi

Ben Reid·January 3, 2013
When it comes to rumors pertaining any one of Apple's vast Mac range, we often find ourselves churning up the same reported specifications as the previous year, minus the one or two exceptions that actually made the cut last time around. That is certainly the case with the latest report, which suggests the Cupertino will pack a new chipset into its updated Mac models this year, offering ridiculously-speedy 802.11ac network speeds. For those of you that remember, a similar notion was present prior to last year's refreshes, and although it never did materialize, it's none too surprising to see the same rumors crop up once more.

Today though, Mac users too can now enjoy just about any Google Play app thanks to the latest beta of BlueStacks for Mac, and with such a wealth of content now available for those on Android, the update will be more than welcomed by many.
