Here’s How To Get Android Style App Launcher On iPhone [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·July 26, 2013
One feature iOS is surely lacking, at least compared with its main rival Android, is the ability to add and enjoy custom launchers. Having recently switched from Apple's fair ecosystem to Google's as my daily driver, it's the one feature to which I have become most accustomed. But thanks to the jailbreak scene, iOS doesn't have to be a launcher-free zone, and Instalauncher, a new tweak over at the BigBoss repo, allows you to activator-set a launcher that allows you to quickly access any of your currently installed apps.

How To Cancel iOS App Updates During Download On iPhone

Ben Reid·July 26, 2013
The way Apple's iOS updates its third-party apps is seen as a marvel to some, and an annoyance to others. While the whole process is, as with most of the software's features, nicely streamlined, that oh-so frequent feeling of constrained functionality does tend to creep in from time to time. For example, if you're updating an app, and decide, midway through, that you wish to retain the current version for the time being, there's no native way of doing so. Luckily, as is so often the case, there's a tweak for that, and it's called, quite naturally, CancelUpdate.

This iPhone App Lets You Take Photos Using Both Cameras At The Same Time

Ben Reid·July 24, 2013
Photography is now inarguably an integral part of the mobile industry. It's one of the key considerations many prospective smartphone and tablet buyers make before going through the purchase process, and as well as the work of vendors in continually bolstering the camera hardware for a better overall performance, app developers have tried very hard to improve the software experience for the end user. One of the Galaxy S4's many exclusive features was its ability to snap images almost simultaneously using the front and rear snappers, aptly named Dual Shot, and now, the aptly named Frontback app offers a similar service to those on iOS.

How To Upload Self-Deleting Photos On Facebook

Ben Reid·July 12, 2013
As Snapchat has shown over the past few months, there's a pretty huge market for self-destructing photo sharing, and looking to integrate this model into Facebook comes an app called Secret.li. Newly released over at the iOS App Store, borrows from the idea of Snapchat in that it allows you to upload images that, in turn will delete themselves after a set amount of time.
