What kind of world would we live in without gravity? A phenomenon defined as a force by Sir Isaac Newton, something which attracts all objects to other objects, with Albert Einstein chipping in with his theory that gravity is the result of the curvature of space-time. These two theories are the most widely accepted, and although we may never get a fully complete explanation of what gravity actually is, we all know it's a pretty awesome phenomenon nonetheless.

Paul Morris·February 20, 2012
One of the hot topics surrounding not only iOS, but mobile operating systems in general is data security and privacy. Over the last couple of weeks there has been a lot of discussion on the world wide web about mobile applications accessing data without permission or prior notice, as well as independent reports about users being able to launch FaceTime calls and gain access to certain contact information on an iOS device. Only last week, we were also able to view a report from the University of California which used the PiOS tool to show us that official App Store applications leaked more data than their Cydia based counterparts. When all of this information is put together, it hasn't been a very good two weeks for the reputation surrounding iOS security.

There can be no denying that the favored jailbreak flavor of late 2011 and 2012 has to be the iOS 5 exclusive Notification Center and Siri digital assistant. The inclusion of the two new features in the public release of iOS 5 presented practically limitless opportunities for developers when it comes to extending their native limited abilities.

Paul Morris·February 12, 2012
There is no doubt about the fact that the current trend for Cydia tweaks is all about modifying the new Notification Center and giving additional functionality to the Siri digital assistant software. Since the release of iOS 5 in October of last year, the Cydia store has been inundated with modifications and tweaks which add widgets, settings and even an animated Nyan cat to the Notification Center screen, but in all honesty there are only a handful which are any good.

iOS 5 Bug Could Leave Your Photos On iPhone Open For Everyone To See

Ben Reid·January 4, 2012
Despite Apple working pretty damned hard to tighten security with its latest iteration of the iOS mobile operating system, it’s only natural that flaws will occur; but unless they aid the jailbreaking process in any way, shape or form, we’re about as excited to see them as Tim Cook’s security squad is.
