Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Gets New Native On-Screen Keyboard

Windows Mobile 6.5 (or 6.5.3) Build 28002 is out already and it finally brings a new native on-screen keyboard which is optimized for more finger friendly touch operations. Windows Mobile OEMs like HTC, Samsung and Sony Ericsson have already been shipping their newer handsets with skinned version of the original stylus-friendly keyboard for finger friendly navigation. But now from Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Build 28002 and onwards, Microsoft has finally updated the age old on-screen virtual keyboard that has been a feature of Windows phones since Pocket PC’s era.

The latest Build 23034 of Windows Mobile 6.5 is out now courtesy of some devoted folks from XDA-Developers forum. This new Build brings significant changes to the Start Menu button which has now been moved to the bottom and the taskbar (or the status bar) on the top looks smaller like it is on Android and iPhone.
