If you are currently using an iOS or Android-powered smartphone, but have been looking for a spare device, either for traveling or just taking with you as a backup, then the first-generation fully unlocked Moto G for $85.99 is definitely one that's worth taking a peek into. Skype’s 25-Person Group Video Calling Feature Launches On iOS And Android

Paul Morris·February 19, 2016
Microsoft has shown continual willing to build on the user-experience that is thrust into the face of users when interacting with Skype. Since purchasing the company back in 2011, the company has pumped significant resources into ensuring that the whole platform is as smooth and seamless as possible for those who interact with it on a daily basis. Part of that development has focused on overhauling and improving the customer-facing mobile apps on iOS and Android, which has now been updated with a new group video calling experience for up to 25 people that was originally teased back in January.

Nintendo Opens Up Registration For Miitomo, Its First Mobile Game

Paul Morris·February 18, 2016
Pre-registration for Miitomo - Nintendo's first mobile game - is now live. The Japanese gaming giant is billing Miitomo as being a "smart-device app that sparks one-of-a-kind conversations between you and your friends". The company is also playing on the fact that it's a game "from Nintendo", using the brand to gain traction, as well as outlining that it's "free to start", presumably suggesting that gamers will ultimately have to part with real money at some point through in-app purchases to progress in the Miitomo world.

Zayed Rehman·February 17, 2016
Security vulnerability on smartphones is more synonymous with Android than any other platform, and a new string of malware targeting it seems to reinforce that sentiment. Discovered by a Danish security firm, Mazar BOT is the newest malware in town that can gain admin rights on your phone and subsequently take control of it.

This Smartphone Will Come In A Box That Doubles As A VR Headset

Paul Morris·February 11, 2016
Apple and Samsung have enjoyed a long run at the top of the smartphone game. In fact, it could be argued that the two companies, who produce iOS and Android devices respectively, have the smartphone industry pretty much dominated. Sure, there are companies out there manufacturing seriously impressive hardware, but no-one comes close to breaking the dominance of these two. In an effort to try and appeal to the masses with something unique and entirely different, Alcatel is about to introduce a new smartphone that comes packed in a box which can double as a Virtual Reality headset. Seriously.

Paul Morris·February 10, 2016
The introduction of new hardware from one of the world's largest smartphone manufacturers doesn't just mean new shiny goodness for tech fans who love the latest device. It also means price reductions on older hardware that will directly benefit those consumers who simply don't feel the need to own the latest and greatest release. As of right now, Samsung has applied further reductions to last year's Galaxy S6 taking the price down to a very reasonable $450 for off contract unlocked model. Galaxy S6 normally retails for around $500.
