ToolJail has been just updated to version 1.3.2. This new version is only a minor upgrade, with updates to guides, and links to new versions of jailbreaking tools like Sn0wbreeze. For those of you who don’t know, ToolJail (like f0recast) is designed to help iPhone newbie’s to jailbreak and unlock their iPhone and iPod touch. The final version of Blacksn0w RC2 is now available on Cydia. This version brings fix for WiFi loss, and boot loops issue which was hampering users in the last ‘test’ release. For those of you who don’t know, blacksn0w RC2 is basically a repackaged version of the original unlock released by geohot, and the fix which was recently released by MSFT Guy for 05.11.07 baseband on iPhone OS 3.1.3.

A fix has been released to unlock the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware on 05.11.07 baseband using Blacksn0w. Most of you who have tried to unlock iPhone 3.1.3 with 05.11.07 baseband using blacksn0w might have faced this problem where the said tool is unable to unlock iPhone 3G and 3GS. This is because blacksn0w is locating a function to patch by searching the binary for a reference to string “SIM is not supported”. In iPhone OS 3.1.3, Apple has replaced the same function in a way that it now uses the string “Verified”. Since the location to patch is determined by instruction search&replace, the said patch still works in iPhone 3.1.3 after changing the string and its length in Blacksn0w binary.

Those of you who have jailbroken your iPhone with blackra1n and then later unlocked it with blacksn0w might have faced issues with Youtube not working, WiFi not connecting to any hotspot and other issues related to GPS. Some of you got it fixed by following our guide posted here which used Push Fix app from Cydia. This app, which was available on iPhoneil repo was removed shortly after we posted about it. The good news is that the app has now been repackaged and rebranded as “Push Fix & youtube” and is now available for download via Cydia. “Push Fix & youtube” is guaranteed to fix all the issues that you may be having with the Youtube app not working after blackra1n jailbreak.

The popular iPhone hacker Geohot has finally released the much awaited blackra1n RC3 with blacksn0w which unlocks both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS running on iPhone 3.1.2 firmware with 05.11.07 baseband (aka modem firmware). This latest version of blackra1n includes unlock and jailbreak for 3.1.2 firmware on 05.11.07 baseband, option for enabling native Internet Tethering on the iPhone, hacktivation support, 15 seconds speed improvement and support for OS X Tiger & PPC (PowerPC) Macs. The popular iPhone hacker George Hotz (@geohot) has released a teaser image, hence giving us a first sneak peak at how the upcoming blackra1n RC3 with blacksn0w is going to look like, come November 4th. For those of you who don’t know, blackra1n is a jailbreaking tool which can unlock all iPhone’s (2G, 3G and 3GS) and iPod touches (2G, 3G) running the latest iPhone firmware 3.1.2. The latest RC3 version of blackra1n will include blacksn0w, which will enable you to unlock your iPhone 3G/3GS running the stock 3.1.2 firmware from iTunes with 05.11.07 baseband (modem firmware). blacksn0w is going to be the first ever unlock for unlocking 05.11.07 baseband which comes pre-installed with the stock iPhone 3.1.x firmware.

George Hotz (geohot) is a true genius isn’t he? He has finally managed to successfully unlock iPhone firmware 3.1.2 on 05.11.07 baseband (modem firmware) using his tool dubbed as blacksn0w. blacksn0w will be an integral part of the upcoming version of blackra1n which will be released on 4th November 2009 and it will work on both the iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS with 05.11.07 baseband.

George Hotz (aka geohot) has confirmed in his blog post today that he is working on a tool dubbed blacksn0w, which will ultimately unlock 05.11.07 baseband (modem firmware) on iPhone 3G/3GS running iPhone 3.1.x firmware.
