Those individuals interested in Apple’s affordable iPhone XR in the United States can now purchase the handset directly from Apple on a SIM-free and unlocked basis. This availability means that there is no carrier obligation when purchasing, leaving the consumer to pick a SIM from whomever they like.

In most parts of Europe, consumers expect to be able to purchase a brand new device like iPhone XR on a SIM-free basis.

A consumer generally has the option of purchasing the device SIM-free, purchasing the hardware through Apple with a plan from a carefully selected carrier, or dealing directly with the carrier and opting to take out a minimum-term wireless plan that locks the device to that network and commits the customer to a minimum monthly amount in exchange for a talk, text, and data allowance. This isn’t always the case in the United States.

After initially launching as part of a purchasing system that meant customers had to choose a network, Apple has now extended the sale options for iPhone XR meaning that a carrier no longer needs to be chosen and the consumer can opt to purchase the hardware outright starting from $749.00.

This is actually standard practice in the United States with SIM-free models typically debuting in the country weeks or months after the hardware goes live in the first instance. This means that those who are happily taking a carrier plan can opt for the first purchase and those who want a SIM-free option can wait a little longer.

Those who are purchasing a SIM-free iPhone XR will be able to take SIM cards from carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and a whole host of other smaller carriers in the country who offers these types of services.

As previously mentioned, parting with $749.00 will get you the entry-level 64GB iPhone XR model in one of the many gorgeous and vivid colors, including (PRODUCT)RED. If you want to spend a little more, then $799.00 will get you the 128GB model or $899.00 will get you the all-singing-all-dancing 256GB iPhone XR with its gorgeous exterior and Liquid Retina display.

If you have been putting off the purchase while you wait for the SIM-free option then you need to wait no more, good people!
