Amazon is currently offering the Acer 11.6-inch Chromebook for just $267.99, down from the usual asking price of around $330. No discount codes are needed, nor are any on-page coupons.

This deal is for a thin and light Chromebook with some interesting features thrown in for good measure, too.

This being a Chromebook, you don’t need all that much power. Everything runs as if it would within a Chrome web browser, reducing the need for power hungry CPUs. It also means that this machine is a cinch to set up, and should you need to move to another one everything will move with you, too. But that’s not this machine’s party trick.

Unlike most computers, this Acer Chromebook can withstand a water spillage. Thanks to a unique drainage design, Acer says that 330ml of water can be spilled over this machine’s keyboard without any issue whatsoever. We’re not brave enough to test that for ourselves, but we’re willing to believe Acer on this one. If you’re one for spilling water on your notebooks, this is definitely something to consider.

You won’t find yourself short on battery life thanks to this notebook’s 13-hour run time and the 1.6GHz CPU is plenty fast enough for what it needs to do. The only downside here is the fact that stock won’t be available for a few weeks but if you can wait, this is a great time to save some money.
