Ryan Petrich Updates Activator, Flipswitch, BioLockdown, More With iOS 10 Jailbreak Support

One of the top working developers in the jailbreak game – Ryan Petrich – has once again proven why he is consistently thought of as one of the most crucial individuals in the community. Earlier today the extremely well-known and ever-present developer released a slew of updates for Activator, Flipswitch, FlipControlCenter, BioLockdown, RocketBootstrap, and HapticPro with iOS 10-10.2 jailbreak compatibility.

The challenge when any new jailbreak is released is generally two fold. First of all, we actually get to see which developers are still interested in supporting their tweaks by instantly getting to work on bringing about compatibility with the latest firmware versions supported by the latest jailbreak. Secondly, we get to actually see how much long the developers take and whether they charge for these updates or not.

History has shown us that some tweaks fall by the wayside, either because iOS has introduced the same functionality, or that the developer simply can’t overcome hurdles or obstacles to ensure compatibility.

Ryan Petrich has consistently proven that his tweaks will be updated to support the latest firmware whenever a new jaibreak for a new iOS version is released, regardless of the amount of time those updates consume.

Some of his tweaks, such as Activator, are simply paramount to the jailbreak experience and are actually integral to how multiple other tweaks function. Some of his creations are entertainment or utility tools, but others are actually considered part of the architecture and building blocks of the jailbreak experience, and therefore are extremely valuable to jailbreak device owners.

These latest updates ensure that those jailbroken using yalu102 should be able to enjoy the same jailbreak experience that we have become accustomed to thanks to tweaks like Activator, HapticPro, BioLockdown and RocketBootstrap. It’s currently unknown what the status is on a number of his other tweaks, looking at the releases so far, it looks as though Petrich is first focusing on the more important tweaks that really make jailbreaking what it is, and rightly so in all honesty.

If any additional news on future upgrades becomes available, we will be sure to let you know right away.
