Rockstar Shares Second Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer And New Game Details

Following the news last week that Rockstar had delayed Grand Theft Auto 6 until May of 2026, the company has now released the game’s second trailer alongside more details about the title.

The new trailer runs at less than three minutes and includes the game’s main characters in Jason and Lucia. You can check it out for yourself right here.

Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

Rockstar also took the opportunity to update the Grand Theft Auto 6 website with new details on the two characters. There, we learn that “Jason grew up around grifters and crooks.” The blurb then goes on to say that “after a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners.” We’re told that “Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him.”

As for Lucia, we now know that she wound up in Leonida Penitentiary before “sheer luck got her out.” As for what’s next, “More than anything, Lucia wants the good life her mom has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City — but instead of half-baked fantasies, Lucia is prepared to take matters into her own hands.”

We can expect to learn much more about GTA6 as we get closer to that May 26, 2026 release date, likely including some new trailers over the coming months.
