The Apple enthusiast 9to5 Mac site has published a complete video of first hands-on and impressions of the newly released Magic Trackpad by Apple for all desktop based Macs. For those of you who don’t know, Magic Trackpad is basically a larger desktop version of touchpads found in MacBook Pros. The newly released iOS 4.1 Beta 2 is jailbreakable using the existing version 0.9.5b5 of Redsn0w. However this Redsn0w jailbreak is supported on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G only. Here is the update on this from the iPhone Dev-Team blog.
Yesterday, a court in United States ruled jailbreaking and unlocking iPhones as 100 percent legal as long as it does not violate any copyright laws. This decision was a blow for Apple who has always been against jailbreaking of iPhones. When asked about this ruling, Apple at the moment at least has adopted defensive strategy, saying that jailbreaking may have been declared as legal but it will still void your iPhone’s warranty with Apple.

This will erupt lots of cries and disappointment but this was important to post as I know many of you have been really looking forward to it. Contrary to the popular believe that the new Spirit like all iOS device jailbreak will be released this weekend, the most vocal of all iPhone Dev-Team members MuscleNerd has confirmed that the new jailbreak wont be released today. This slight delay is because of some of the important iPhone 4 apps like FaceTime which are having issues after jailbreak. As MuscleNerd rightly said, there is no point in releasing a half-baked jailbreak tool which causes issues for the end-users.
