Earlier this week, Apple announced the much awaited iOS 4.2 update for the iPad. It brings tons of new features to iPad like Multitasking, Folders, Printing, AirPlay, Game Center and more. This update will surely make the iPad a perfect tablet for doing tons of things quickly and efficiently than ever before.

Back when iOS 4 was released, it had all sorts of performance issues when it ran on older devices such as iPhone 3G. Last month, Jobs confirmed that a new software update will fix some performance woes of iPhone 3G running iOS 4.x. Final GM Build of iOS 4.1 (developers only) was released this week for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G and iPod touch and Lifehacker has a video up for us, comparing both iOS 4.0 and iOS 4.1 running on iPhone 3G. The difference is quite noticeable in some cases as can be seen in the video embedded below.

Apple has completely redesigned both the iPod nano and iPod shuffle for their fall 2010 iPod lineup. iPod nano gains multi-touch functionality, new lighter and smaller square’ish design, and at the same time loses video camera which was only introduced last year. iPod shuffle on the other hand has got all the buttons back, with a new large battery which gives up to 15 hours.

Apple has just announced the all new Apple TV. This new 2010 version of Apple TV is only one fourth the size of the original, and it comes in black matte finish. It supports HDMI output, 802.11 WiFi-N and optical audio. There is no local storage here, Apple TV completely depends on the cloud for streaming media content. Apart from iTunes, you will be able to access Netflix, YouTube, Flickr and MobileMe services right from the comfort of your couch.
