Celebrating Windows 7’s one-year anniversary, Microsoft Netherlands spilled the beans on the expected launch date for Windows 7’s successor. In a blog post on its Dutch website, Microsoft said that Windows 8 is roughly two years away from hitting the market.
Both the iPhone and Chronic Dev Teams have confirmed that their respective jailbreaking tools, Redsn0w and GreenPois0n are going open source, which means that the entire source code of the mentioned tools will be available to public for free. You can then use the source code to modify the tool to your own liking, or even improve it for the betterment of the jailbreaking community.
Windows 7 has been a powerful success for Microsoft. After releasing PwnageTool 4.1.1 yesterday, the iPhone Dev Team today has silently updated PwnageTool to 4.1.2 to fix jailbreaking issues for OS X 1.5.x Leopard users. Again, as far as the jailbreak, compatibility and the exploit is concerned, this release offers nothing new except for this bug fix.

NitoTV has posted a screenshot over on Twitter of, quite possibly, the first ever app for 2nd generation Apple TV. From what we can tell, it’s a simple weather app. You choose a location, the app pulls in relevant data from the internet and provides the info on your TV along with a little graphic.
