Sony hasn't been having a great year as far as security is concerned. After a hack last month and quite a few ever since, it was just two days ago that another exploit was found, bringing all online services down once again. In an already bad week for Sony, F-Secure is now reporting that an actual scam site is hosted on Sony's Thai domain, sony.co.th.
Taking screenshots on Android phones and tablets has always been a pretty jumbled up issue. I do remember the time when taking a screenshot on my HTC Wildfire was actually real-time tinkering and hacking with my Wi-Fi network etc. However as development for Android gathers pace every day, there is now an app available that not only takes screenshots on your phone / tablet but also allows saving images in PNG or JPEG formats. The app under discussion is Screenshot ER for Android and according to its developer, ftgg99 from XDA, “ER is for emergency room, because it works where nothing else does”.
Google's Chrome browser is probably the most streamlined and minimalistic of all major web browsers out there. China Mobile, the state-owned Chinese phone carrier, has announced it has reached a deal to bring LTE-4G to the iPhone. While that in no way means the next iPhone, allegedly scheduled for September, will include the technology, it shows Apple is interested in developing it. The carrier has refused to elaborate or disclose when we would see an LTE-powered iPhone. That's not surprising, since Apple doesn't comment on future products and stops its partners from doing so.
