We already know that Samsung isn't averse to launching multiple versions of the same phone, whether the differences be screen sizes, shock or water resistance or horsepower, but the rumored Galaxy S5 Prime still has us interested. What appears to be a Galaxy S5 on steroids, the unannounced product has been gathering some traction in the leak stakes of late, and now one appears to have popped up on YouTube.
Apple may have brought some animated wallpapers to the iPhone thanks to last year's iOS 7 update, but that doesn't mean that owners of the popular smartphone can just go setting things as their home or lock screen wallpapers willy-nilly. Apple still tightly controls what people can make their iPhones and iPads look like, and while the unannounced iOS 8 may signal a relaxing of such restrictions, the best way to untether your iOS device from Jonny Ive is still to jailbreak it.
After what seems like an eternity of constantly battling one another in a courtroom, Apple and Google have come to a mutual agreement that will see the two technology giants ending all current patent litigations against each another. In an effort to avoid an escalation of the situation, and to prevent any additional bad blood from developing between two of Silicon Valley's most important companies, Apple and Google are understood to have thrashed out a ceasefire that is mutually suitable to all involved.
After releasing iTunes 11.2 and OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 update only yesterday, Apple has now released iTunes 11.2.1 update to quickly address /Users folder missing bug that plagued those running the latest OS X 10.9.3 release.
When it comes to smartphone use, Web browsing is undoubtedly one of the biggest reasons we pick our phones up, and in turn one of the most used apps we have on our phones is whatever Web browser we choose to use. Apple's iPhone has made its way into all kinds of weird and wonderful places, as has its larger brother, the iPad. With accessories that help turn the iPhone and iPad into anything from a professional video tool to a high-grade medical devices, there's little that Apple's devices can't do.
Along with the two iPhone 6 variants, the alleged iWatch, the Retina MacBook Air and Touch ID-enabled iPads - allied to a whole bunch of other purported releases arriving out of Cupertino this year - Apple is said to be plotting an "iPad Pro," which would offer a notable increase in form factor on the current 9.7-inch-displaying iPad Air. So far, solid information has been at a premium, and whilst a new dummy leak of the enlarged slate on Weibo looks suspect, to say the least, it does offer a potential glimpse of the device's form factor.
Apple's CarPlay, first announced as iOS in the Car, finally rolled out with iOS 7.1, but until the supported cars begin rolling out later on in the year, we can't really get up close and personal with the new interface. Pioneer, as we heard a short while ago, will be offering an aftermarket option for those who don't wish to go out and buy a whole new car, and today, the audio specialist has given us a taster in the form of a demo clip.
Often, developers seek to supplement the experience of a major game release on PC / console by also offering a mobile-adapted version, but given the limited nature of the smartphone and tablet despite recent improvements, these accompanying efforts (think COD: Zombies) always feel a tad half-baked. The best way any developer can utilize a mobile device, in most cases, is to release a companion app that plays to the strengths and general versatility of our beloved gadgets, and the recently-released Titanfall has just gotten its very own second-screen app on both iOS and Android courtesy of famed publisher EA.

It's currently unknown if HTC have reacted to the Internet chatter and announced the device early, or if this announcement was part of its roadmap, but the confirmation has come in the form of a 3D rendering that we can interact with and praise in all its glory.
