New Images Claim To Show iPhone 14 Pro Cutouts And Screenshots

Apple is widely expected to announce a new round of iPhones during an event already set for September 7, and rumors are pointing to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max being the most interesting of the four.

Now, we might have been treated to a new look at those devices.

Both iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to ship with a new hole + pill design instead of a notch. Now, a new image is said to have been shared on Weibo that shows exactly that.

Twitter user DuanRui is the one who plucked the image from the Chinese social network and it appears to show cutouts for the front-facing camera and Face ID components.

Note that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are expected to use the same notch that we’ve seen for the last few years. There’s also a quick clip of the purple option as well.

Perhaps more interesting is a series of screenshots from leaker ShrimpApplePro that claim to show how the status bar will look on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

One of the screenshots is overlayed on one from an iPhone 13 Pro Max, suggesting that Apple plans to move the cellular signal bar, WiFi signal bar, and battery indicator slightly down and towards the right. Why that is, we don’t yet know. But it could be to better align them with the new cutouts.

Renowned leaker Ice Universe, has also shared a close-up of the iPhone 14 Pro dummy, showing the hole + pill cutout design.

Apple has already announced a new special event for September 7 and it seems likely that pre-orders could begin on September 9. That would also mean that iPhones would go on sale the following Friday, September 16.
