Apple is gearing up to launch new MacBook Air models powered by the M4 chip, and they could arrive as soon as this week. But if you’re waiting for new iPads, you might have to wait a little longer.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is running low on stock for the iPad Air and iPad 10 in its stores, which is usually a sign that updated models are on the way.
Unlike the MacBook Air, the new iPads won’t be dropping in the next few days. Instead, they’ll likely be announced sometime in March or April.
So, what can we expect? The iPad Air could get an M3 or M4 chip, while the iPad 11 is rumored to have an A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip. Don’t expect a new look, though—these models are expected to have the same design with only internal upgrades.
As for other iPads, don’t hold your breath for an iPad Pro update anytime soon. It seems Apple is waiting for the M5 chip before releasing a new version. And if you’re wondering about the iPad mini, that was updated not too long ago, so it’s staying as is for now.
For now, the spotlight is on the MacBook Air with M4, but new iPads should be right around the corner!
