Apple has just released for download iOS 18.3.1 IPSW links and OTA update and iPadOS 18.3.1, bringing minor updates to their operating systems launched in September.

This comes only two weeks after the release of iOS 18.3. If you’re using a compatible iPhone or iPad, updating via OTA update method is simple. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update to download and install the new version.

For those still running iPadOS 17, Apple also rolled out iPadOS 17.7.5. This keeps older devices secure and up to date. So, what’s in this new update? According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 18.3.1 comes with important bug fixes and security patches.

Apple’s security support document for iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1 addresses an accessibility vulnerability that could potentially disable USB Restricted Mode on a locked device.

Impact: A physical attack may disable USB Restricted Mode on a locked device. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals.

While there aren’t any flashy new features, updates like these help improve device performance and security, so it’s a good idea to install them when they become available.

You can also update to iOS 18.3.1 via updating using IPSW links. Simply download the required IPSW file from links given below and then update to it using Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows.
