M3 24-Inch iMac And More Rumored For October 30th Mac Event

Apple has confirmed that it will stream an event on October 30 but it has so far declined to say what products it will announce.

However, it is increasingly clear that there will be a Mac announcement, possibly more. And now it appears that there will be plenty to choose from when the event is done and dusted.

Apple’s “Scary Fast” event is already shaping up to be a big one with new MacBook Pros and M3 chips on the horizon. Now, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has added more fuel to the fire by hinting that Apple is also planning to announce the new 24-inch iMac, powered by an M3 chip, next week.

Gurman said via a post on the X social network that Apple has been planning to launch an M3 iMac for a while, adding that it went into production months ago. There aren’t likely to be any huge changes from the outside, but Gurman does say that the stand’s internal design has been changed compared to the M1 iMac that’s currently on sale.

Gurman also says that buyers will likely have “similar” color options to choose from, although it’s possible that there will be slight variations without any big changes when compared to the older model.

The updated 24-inch iMac now looks set to be announced alongside the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros on October 30.
