Leaker Claims Apple’s Leather iPhone 15 Case Replacement Is Called FineWoven

Apple is set to announce its new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups at the September 12 event and the leaks have so far claimed that there won’t be any sign of a new leather case for the new models.

That’s seen various leaks of its own as a result, with some claiming that a faux leather case will take the real leather case’s place due to environmental concerns. Now, we might know what that new case is called.

That’s according to a report by X leaker DuanRui which claims that the unconfirmed case will be called the FineWoven case. If that’s the case, we can likely expect the FineWoven case to sell alongside the existing silicone cases, but we will need Apple to confirm that before we can know for sure.

The leaker shared photos of the claimed cases, but there is some doubt about their legitimacy. The leaker said that the photos show cases that are just mockups, rather than the real thing, MacRumors notes.

‌DuanRui‌ shared case images with the “FineWoven” name, but warned that this could be a “counterfeit product.” A close look at the packaging that he shared confirms that the case images appear to be photoshopped and not real, but he further clarified that the cases are meant to be a mockup and are based on the new Apple official case.

We won’t have all that long to wait before we get all of this clarified, at least. The September 12 event is just around the corner and if Apple really is launching a whole new type of case we ca surely expect to learn more about it then.
