iPhone 15 Event ‘Wonderlust’ Announced, Here Are The Details

As expected, Apple has today announced that it will stream an event on September 12, likely to announce the new iPhones and Apple Watches.

The event will be streamed from Apple Park starting at 10:00am PT and will be available to watch online at apple.com. It’s also likely that it will be offered via YouTube as well.

In terms of what to expect from the event, it’s highly likely that Apple will announce the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max during what is sure to be a packed stream. Beyond that, new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 unveilings are also in the cards if the rumors turn out to be accurate.

As for timescales, this confirmation of a September 12 event does allow us to extrapolate other dates. It’s likely that the new devices will go up for preorder on September 15, while we can then likely expect them all to go on sale on September 22.

The wildcard here is the iPhone 15 Pro Max, a device that some believe will be delayed due to manufacturing issues related to its new periscope camera lens. A recent report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that might not be the case, however.

It isn’t yet clear whether Apple will have an in-person component to the event, however. Past events have seen members of the press attend Apple Park for hands-on time with the new devices and it’s likely that will be the case this time around as well.
