Apple is expected to announce iOS 19 during the WWDC event this June and now a new leak appears to point to some of the design changes that we can expect to be shown off.
The iOS 19 update is expected to bring with it some new design tweaks that will be similar to the visionOS software that powers the Apple Vision Pro spatial computing headset.
Now, YouTuber Jon Prosser has shared a video that claims to offer a sneak peek at what we can expect the iOS 19 redesign to look like.
One notable change will see the icons have a more rounded design that will also be joined by redesigned menus that add more depth than the current offering. The change will make menus appear to be floating by using new shadows, while a slight reflection will appear when the iPhone is moved, it appears.
Other changes are expected to include a tweaked tabbed view within apps that will more closely match that of visionOS, while other changes will include updated Messages and App Store apps.
It’s important to remember that none of this will be confirmed until WWDC in June, but anyone expecting a huge design overhaul looks set to be disappointed if this leak is accurate. As for when the software will be released, we expect that iOS 19 will ship in September alongside the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro lineups.
