Looking to jailbreak iOS 18.4 on iPhone or iPad? Here’s the latest status update that you may need to know about.
If you haven’t been living under a rock, you will know that there has not been a public-facing jailbreak released for iPhone or iPad in many years now. In fact, the last time a jailbreak was released for latest iPhone and iOS version was back in 2019.
While there has been jailbreak tools like checkra1n getting updated from time to time, but they only support devices like iPhone X and below and since iPhone X doesn’t run latest version of iOS, there really hasn’t been much to talk about in jailbreak scene for a long time now.
And there are a number of reasons for this: First being Apple borrowing a lot of features from jailbreak tweaks and adding them as native features in iOS. Second being Apple and other companies offering a lot of money to those devs who can find exploits in iOS which could otherwise be used in public jailbreaks. This is one of the biggest reasons why there hasn’t been much incentive for devs to release free public jailbreaks.
So does this mean we won’t see iOS 18.4 jailbreak? Well, while the situation seems grim at this point, we can never say never as proven a lot of times in the past that a public jailbreak can come at any time.
In the meantime, we recommend updating your iOS device to version 18.4 as it includes new features and crucial security updates. Regarding jailbreaking, we advise you to remain patient and continue waiting for it. If there are any updates on this front, we will promptly report them. Stay tuned for further information on this topic.
