New iOS 19 compatible device rumor drops support for some iPhone models. Here are the details on this.
Apple is expected to announce the iOS 19 software update during the WWDC event in June, ahead of a likely release to the public this September. Apple normally ensures that older iPhones can continue to run the latest software, but this is set to be the year that some models will be cut adrift.
According to a post by a private account on the X social network, Apple’s iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will not be supported when iOS 19 arrives this year. All of those iPhones have the Apple A12 Bionic chip, which suggests that this will be the cut-off here. Apart from those three models, all other iPhones that currently support iOS 18 are expected to support iOS 19. We can also expect the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup to run the software, too.
With that in mind, this is a list of all the iPhones that are expected to be capable of installing iOS 19.
