Here’s A Look At What A Tesla Designed Foldable Smartphone Could Look Like

Foldable phones are everywhere right now, and like it or not it’s clear that they are going to be the next thing in phones.

Whether it will ultimately be something that hangs around is another matter, but if you’re already jaded on the idea of having a phone that folds, how about something a little different?

A new concept has been shared that shows what we could possibly expect if Elon Musk’s Tesla was to try its hand at a phone.

Tesla has already got its hands full building awesome cars and, oddly, a surf board, but if it was to give making a phone a try, we reckon it would be pretty cool.

Designer Jeffrey Lee agrees, and he’s created a concept for “a telescopic designed smartphone” which basically means a screen sliding out from an other. That would mean that you could get the same effect as a folding phone, without it actually folding.

Just like traditional folding phones, users would be able to use the Tesla C1 as either a tablet or a phone depending on what they want at any particular time, and when the screen is collapsed part of it would be an area for notifications. It’s an interesting idea, and one that is definitely worthy taking a look at if you like to look beyond what is already being done.

Will we ever see a phone like this? Who knows, but we wouldn’t expect it to come from Tesla. We reckon Musk has enough on his plate right now, don’t you?
