Gurman: New iPads Tipped For End Of March Or April Launch

We’ve been hearing rumors of Apple’s intent to launch new OLED iPad Pro and new M2 iPad Air tablets for weeks now and we’re getting ever closer to that finally happening.

Now, a new report again hints that we could see them all appear by the end of this month or, if it comes to it, next.

That’s according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who has been across the whole iPad launch timeframe for a good long while and according to him, we should expect something around the end of March or April. Gurman was speaking in the weekly Power On newsletter when he made the assertion that the launch is likely to coincide with the release of the iPadOS 17.4 update.

Apple is preparing to launch revamped iPad Pros, new iPad Airs (including a 12.9-inch version), a Magic Keyboard and upgraded Apple Pencil. Look for that new hardware around the end of March or in April, as that’s when the accompanying iPadOS 17.4 software should be ready to go.

The launch is expected to include new OLED iPad Pro models powered by the Apple M3 chip in both 11- and 12.9-inch screen sizes. Those tablets are also expected to launch alongside a new 11-inch iPad Air as well as an all-new 12.9-inch model, both of which are likely to use M2 chips.

The new tablets are expected to be joined by an upgraded Magic Keyboard with a new metal construction and better trackpad while a replacement for the 2nd-gen Apple Pencil has also been tipped.
