You can now download watchOS 26 beta 1 for Apple Watch and tvOS 26 for Apple TV. Here are the details on both new beta releases for those who want to install them on their test devices.
Apple’s big WWDC 2025 event has now come to a close. As is now the norm, Apple has released the very first developer beta versions of its new software for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
These updates are available to registered developers. However, we suggest only installing the updates on devices that are used for testing purposes rather than on devices that you rely on. Bugs are to be expected, and some apps and features likely won’t work as normal, so keep that in mind here.
Also, remember that you must be a registered developer and signed into the correct Apple ID in order to install these updates on your devices. Ready to get started? Head to developer.apple.com to get the ball rolling.
We also expect that Apple will announce a new public beta for these devices sooner rather than later, likely around the third developer beta’s release. By then, Apple has normally been able to iron out the main issues before unleashing the betas on the public.
As for the final release to the public, that’s likely to happen in or around September alongside the release of the new iPhones and Apple Watches.
