Download: iOS 10.3.3 Beta 4 And tvOS 10.2.2 Beta 4 Released
You can now download iOS 10.3.3 beta 4 for iPhones and iPads and tvOS 10.2.2 beta 4 for Apple TV. The fourth beta of these two platforms come only a few days after Apple released beta 4 seed of macOS 10.12.6 and only a day after second betas of iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4 and tvOS 11 were released to developers.
Apple for some reason hasn’t yet released beta 4 seed of watchOS 3.2.3 for Apple Watch.
iOS 10.3.3 beta 4: The three betas which preceded this release weren’t exactly full of user-facing changes and feature additions. And yes, you guessed it, this fourth pre-release seed does nothing to change that. Unlike iOS 11 betas, iOS 10.3.3 beta 4 is all about evolutionary progression and contains nothing more than bug fixes, patches, and generic overall improvements to the platform.
Those who are fortunate enough to be registered on the Apple Developer Program, and who aren’t currently testing iOS 11 beta 2, can download and install the iOS 10.3.3 beta 4 right now. Those with a developer configuration profile installed can get it as an immediate over-the-air download from Settings > General > Software Update section of their device. Alternatively, the IPSW file can be download from developer.apple.com for those who want a fresh iTunes install.
tvOS 10.2.2 beta 4: tvOS has been one of the fastest growing platforms for Apple over the last 12 months, but unfortunately, there’s not a lot to talk about with this particular release. Very much like iOS 10.3.3, tvOS 10.2.2 is an evolutionary bug fix release which contains general overall improvements and refinements to try and make the Apple TV experience a more pleasurable one for anyone with a fourth-generation unit. This may be a relatively small release, but it’s definitely a notable one as it’s likely to be one of the last upgrades for tvOS 10 as Apple looks to move onto tvOS 11.
Anyone registered as a developer and with a configuration profile installed can head on over to the settings section of tvOS on the fourth-generation Apple TV and get their hands on the fourth pre-release seed of tvOS 10.2.2 OTA update.
It feels a little bit like Christmas for developers at the moment. They find themselves in the relatively rare position of being able to download and install multiple beta versions of a platform at the same time.
As soon as iOS 10.3.3 and tvOS 10.2.2 get a public release, it will be all hands on deck for iOS 11 and tvOS 11.
